It is tough being a flower that doesn't fit in

Today was a great day we have purchased our first home, and moved in as of today. Being a busy family we didn't bother with that large of a garden as a consideration, but we ended up with the sort of property that is going to produce some stunning photos. Check back soon....
A walk in Sidney

This afternoon after some debate we drove to Sidney to go out for Lunch by the Victoria Airport, then for a walk by the water. There is a little park tucked away in Sidney next to the Ferry Terminal to the States (Dock in Photo). The park is great if you don't mind the planes taking off and departing close to the park.
No sign of the Herons Yet

Today was our first visit to Esquimalt Lagoon to see if the Herons are roosting. Not to much action down at the lagoon other then Ducks, Pigeons, Swans, and Seagulls. It was also a rather overcast day so I didn't shoot too many photos.
Eagle at Clover Point

Today we did a family outing to Clover Point to enjoy the beautiful weather. The pigeons and seagulls were out in force, which made for some photo subjects. We were getting ready to leave when a stranger came up and said that looks like a good camera, you might want to take some photos of the eagle on the rock.
As soon as I heard the word Eagle I was excited, until this point Eagles had eluded my digital capturing of them other then the eagles up at Ucluelet. 100 Shots later I had some great eagle photos, here is one of my favorites.
