Seals fishing for our Salmon

Today was the first Military Salmon Fishing Derby of 2007. We headed out bright and early to try and win. The only issue with this plan was that seals were hungry, and had plans of their own. We ended up catching 2 fish, and loosing another 3 to the Seals! As you can see below even the seals couldn't decide who was going to eat the salmon. We ended up winning the fishing derby with an 8 lb Winter Spring Salmon (Chinook).

Snow in Victoria is rather rare, but when it does come our city turns to instant chaos. In fact most of you out there would consider us sissies for what it takes in terms of snowfall to shut down a city on Vancouver Island. But to us it is home.
