Blue Herons at Esquimalt Lagoon, Victoria

I have always had an affinity to Herons, everytime I see one I just like to stop and watch these graceful birds regardless if I have a camera with me. At Esquimalt Lagoon there is a large Heron Roost which has well over 30 herons. Just catching them when it isn't overcast thats the trick, one day I'll hopefully get lucky. I've added 9 new photos to my Heron Photo Gallery. You can also sometimes see River Otters, Swans, Ducks, Oyster Catchers, and Pigeons.
