Salmon Fishing on Constance Bank

Today was a beautiful day for a military salmon fishing derby. We were out bright and early to fish Constance Bank in search of the Winter Spring Salmon (Chinook Salmon). The wind was cold but we were up to the challenge.

By the end of the day we had caught just two salmon of no real note. But dad managed to win second place for the fishing derby with a fish he had caught the previous weekend, it is a two weekend derby just in case of bad weather.

Commercial Ship Moored on Constance Bank

This picture really appeals to me as a nature lover out enjoying a secluded spot in nature to see such a display of pollution. Large vessels moor on Constance Bank while they wait for the pilot boat service to deliver a boat captain to guide them into the Vancouver shipping port.
